Ugandan Journalist Gaetano Kagwa Reveals Why He Quit Kiss TV
Gaetano Kagwa revealed that the responsibilities as the head of Kiss TV were many/ courtesy.
Gaetano Kagwa, a Ugandan radio presenter revealed why he quit his job at Kenya’s Television as a Head of the TV.
Speaking to his co-host at Capital FM Uganda, the journalist revealed that he stepped down from his position as the Head of Kiss TV because of responsibilities.
Kagwa disclosed that before he applied for the lucrative TV position, he was working as a Camera person and studio producer.

However, when the then-head of Kiss TV was leaving to engage in other activities, Kagwa was advised by his colleagues to apply for the position.
“After the interview, I sat back, forgot about it and moved on with life. Next thing I know, I’m being called into the office and they’re telling me, Gaetano, you got the job. You’re the new head of Kiss TV.” He shared.
Unexpected to him, Kagwa disclosed that the responsibilities he had put himself in were so many and tedious, unlike his production and camera work.

“If you’re the head of a department comes with immense responsibility since the budget you’re handling is huge and managing a team,” Kagwa revealed, adding the confusion he encountered during the handover.
“During handover, anybody who would come in and ask me anything, I could refer him/her to the exiting boss or say, ‘Let me get back to you.’ Even phone calls about TV programs, distribution and sourcing were directed to me.
“I was like, eeeeish! I’m used to microphones and cameras, this is hectic! People would also come and ask for leave. It wasn’t easy to handle.” He added.
Due to the huge responsibilities, Kagwa stated that he served as the Head of Kiss TV for just a month, stepped down and returned to Uganda.
