“Hatukumnyima”: P-Unit Band Addresses Rumours of Denying Diamond Platnumz a Collabo

P-Unit, Kenya’s legendary music band, has denied the long-existing rumours they denied Diamond Platnumz a collaboration.
In an exclusive talk on Mseto East Africa, the P-Unit Band explained that what barred them from doing a music collaboration with the WCB- Wasafi founder was time.
P-Unit Band members shared that they had a busy schedule when Diamond Platnumz wished to collaborate with them.

They stated that after their Road To Mamas concert in Nigeria, they rushed to the US at the time Diamond Platnumz was handing them his music CD in search of a collaboration.
“Hatukumnyima collabo. Time ndiyo ilikataa. Akitupatia CD hivi, sisi tulikuwa tumeingia America for tour.” P- Unit Band stated, adding that in terms of business, some may insist that they denied Platnumz a collabo.
“Watu wengi wamesema tulikataa lakini ukweli ni kwamba, hatukukataa. Na katika biashara ya kuuza, watu watasema tulikataa. The problem was time. ” P-Unit added.

Although the band never gave Diamond Platnumz a chance for a collaboration, the members said they helped him meet Rick Ross in Nigeria during the Road To Mamas concert in Lagos.
They explained that during the concert, Platnumz was not among the nominees, but they took him there under their band, and he even performed the chorus of their song Kare.
“Tulienda na Diamond Nigeria Road to Mamas na alikuwa under P-Unit. He didn’t even have a song to perform. He performed the chorus of our song Kare.” The music group stated.
