Mungai Eve Says If She Earns More Than Her Lover, May Unknowingly Disrespect Him
YouTuber Mungai Eve states that her boyfriend should earn more than her. In a chit-chat session with Lizz Jackson, the digital content creator said the disrespect may come unplanned.
Mungai Eve claimed society groomed men to be providers and women helpers. In her view, a man should always be ahead of his girlfriend in everything, especially finance.
She said that starting from the bible, women were created to be helpers. In her view, a man was given leadership responsibility, unlike a woman. She claimed anytime a woman takes the onus of provision, a man loses power.

Mungai Eve explained that her man should earn more than her to avoid disrespect. According to her, she may feel entitled to provide for a man who is supposed to be the head of the family.
“If you marry me and I am earning Ksh 1M and you’re earning Ksh 80,000; I’d unknowingly disrespect you. It’s not that I’d doing it intentionally. I’d just berate you unknowingly.” She stated in their Hey Girl Podcast.
The YouTuber added that she’d feel entitled when catering for some bills that a man is supposed to pay. In her view, women are supposed to be provided and led by men.

“How we’ve been raised starting from the Bible, a man is supposed to be the head. Nikianza kuona mimi ndiye nafanya kila kitu, I’d be like, why are we here?” She explained.
