Renowned Kenyan socialite Amber Ray has disclosed that she had never bought herself a phone until last year.
The queen of profusion has opened up about owning a Motorola as her first phone which was gifted to her. She has been receiving phones as gifts especially on her birthdays.‘Bibi ya tajiri’ as she calls herself, said she mostly receives iPhones as gifts and that had made her buy herself a phone once in her lifetime. Amber Ray also shared her experience in pickpocketing noting that she ever lost a phone in a matatu on her way to Kayole.

“Nimepatanga best gifts ever na zinakuanga ni simu. I don’t know why I am so lucky. Especially iPhone because the new iPhones zinatokanga September and my birthday is November. Lazima tunaupgrade kila mwaka pesa ni ya kutumia ama vipi,” she noted
While explaining her flashy lifestyle, Amber Ray defended their financial status saying that they are not broke. She denied the allegations after rumours of them being financially unstable spread, after she relocated to Syokimau with her family.
