Family Speaks After Abducted KCB Goalkeeper Is Found Abandoned In Ngong Forest

Brian Opiyo's bank accounts were not spared either as it was swept clean by his abductors.

The KCB SC goalkeeper Brian Opiyo Olang’o who was reported missing since Saturday evening has been found alive after hours of searching for him. Before his disappearance the KCB shot stopper was reported to have gone for a meet up with his friends who are former teammates at APS Bomet in Embakasi.

It is reported that Opiyo was kidnapped by three unidentified people including one Nigerian at Taj Mall in Embakasi area where he was whisked away using a car. Opiyo managed to send a SOS message to his wife before his phone was confiscated by the abductors. His brother Kevin Olang’o who plays for FC Talanta said Opiyo’s phone was going on and off that made them report the matter to Makongeni Police Station.

Yesterday in the evening, Brian Opiyo’s family confirmed that he had been found alive abandoned deep in Ngong forest where was rushed to hospital for treatment as he had sustained some injuries. According to his family, the KCB goalkeeper sustained a deep cut on his thigh, his shoulder and head injured indicating to have been tortured before he was thrown into Ngong forest.

The family also confirmed that his bank accounts were not spared either as it was swept clean by his abductors. Brian Opiyo is currently admitted at Radiant hospital in Umoja nursing injuries sustained after the kidnapping ordeal.
