Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) supporterNuru Okanga recently announced that he has enrolled at St. Aquinas Ebuchinga Day School in Kakamega County after completing the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) last year. In a conversation with an online media platform, Okanga explained that he delayed his admission to Form One due to his involvement in corporate social responsibilities.
While other students began their classes on Monday, January 15, Okangawas actively engaged in donating books and other school supplies through programs supported by various stakeholders. Despite joining the school later than his peers, he expressed gratitude towards the principal for warmly welcoming him and ensuring that he would have ample opportunities to learn, stay updated with politics, and spend time with his family.

Okanga shared, “Many people were curious about whether I would join Form One, but I explained that I was supporting other students by providing books and pens. Now, I am finally ready to begin my own journey. I have chosen a day school to fulfill my responsibilities towards my family. Although we are supposed to be released at 6:00 pm, I will request the principal to allow me to leave by 4:00 pm so that I can attend to political matters and spend time with my family.”
Acknowledging the support of his wife, Okanga praised her for standing by him and offering prayers. “My wife fully supports my decision and will assist me on this educational journey. We have discussed it, and she has assured me of her prayers throughout my time in school,” he stated.
“I humbly request Raila to support me in this endeavor and pay for my education. We are his dedicated supporters leading up to 2027, and I hope he will guide me throughout this political journey. Wherever he may be, I want him to know that I have joined Form One during these challenging economic times, and I kindly ask for his assistance in covering my fees and rent for the entire year,” he appealed.
During the release of the KCPE 2023 examination results, Okanga gained attention with reports suggesting that he scored over 400 marks. However, he chose not to disclose his actual results, keeping them confidential.
