Comedian Eric Omondi has once again proven to the world that his Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative is not in vain.
This is after the philanthropic comedian decided to come to the rescue of a Mathare mum whose part of her roof was removed by her landlord over KSh 6,000 rent arrears.
The woman’s plight was first highlighted, rather made public by social media sensation Priscilla Imani who personally visited her in Mabatini area, Mathare.

She posted a video showing the deplorable condition the lady lives in with her two children and requested her followers to tag the entertainer so that he could come through for the family.
The video was shared widely and went viral in a move that saw it get The Comic’s attention who responded positively.
The comedian did not waste any time as he hit the ground running with a plea to Kenyans to contribute funds to clear the Mathare mum’s unpaid rent.
In a matter of hours, he had managed to collect over KSh 130,000 but still urged more Kenyans to come through for the woman.

The star stated that he planned to make sure the Mathare woman had one year’s rent.

On Wednesday, 24, the comedian updated the world on the progress of the fund drive.
Eric Omondi disclosed that Kenyans had raised over KSh 480,000 which had been sent directly to her phone.
