Bien Discloses Sauti Sol Members Went For Therapy Before Dismantling The Group

Sauti Sol’s lead singer Bien Aime Baraza has shared unknown details about the group’s recent decision to take an indefinite break.
Bien revealed that the group decided to take a break from working together because they needed new experiences and challenges.
Speaking during an interview on IMO Podcast, Bien disclosed that the group needed to try out different things having done the same thing together for 20 years.

“Because that is the right time to bounce. You do not want to stay around for too long and people will get used to you. But it is not about that, we didn’t bounce because we did not want to overstay. We just bounced because we needed a new job, after doing the same job for 20 years. We needed new experiences and new challenges.” Bien said.
The musician went on to reveal that the group had to undergo therapy sessions for about two years to deal with the moments and emotions that came with the split.
Bien insisted that therapy helped the group big time.

“It was a collective decision. We actually went for therapy sessions, for a long time, like two years, taking us through the moments, the separation. People do not expect black boys to do that shit. That’s some healthy shit there. People usually think groups have to end in animosity. We are too classy. We had therapy sessions; we had a life coach. We discuss this season of our lives.” he added.
He wrapped up by noting that Sauti Sol may have taken an indefinite break but still works together on different projects once in a while.
