400 Witchdoctors Burn Down Pentecostal Church In Religious Battle

Police in Mpigi have arrested a police OC together with four others others for aggravated robbery of $317,900 at Nakirebe along Kampala-Masaka road.

 

It is said that in 19th September, 2023, a group of five thugs who were driving a Super Custom who plate numbers were covered with MK army stickers intercepted a taxi and stole the money. According to the police report, one dressed in a police Assistant Superintendent uniform with a pistol, one in an army attire and the rest dressed in civilian clothing.

 

Goons Break Into Prison, Steal Four Guns

 

The police used the CCTV cameras at Be Energy Petrol station and through police intelligence, four suspects including the OC Station Namayingo ASP Kakana James, Lubega Moses, Nuwagaba Josephat aka Jose and Kyomuhendo Richard aka Ricky were identified.

 

ASP Kakana James was arrested on 16th October, 2023 from Nansana – Wakiso District after escaping arrest from his Station in Namayingo.

 

“Their homes/ residences were searched for possible evidence. The suspects were interviewed and their statements were recorded where they admitted participating in the robbery and mentioned their associates,” SCP Hadijah Namutebi the Chief Political Commissar Uganda Police Force said.

 

Among the exhibits recovered was the super custom registration number UAW 187W used during the robbery, a Subaru Reg No. UBN 291A Subaru which was bought using the robbed money proceeds of the robbed money  ($10,700) and Ugx 591,000 were recovered from Nuwagaba Josephat.

 

Four Men Sent To Jail For Stealing Underwear

 

Also household items like TVs, cooking utensils, Sofa set chairs, TV sets and other assorted properties were recovered from the home of Lubega Moses all as proceeds of the robbed money.

 

The suspects appeared before the grade 1 Magistrate at Mpigi court over aggravated robbery charges on Friday, November 17, 2023.
