68-Year-Old American Accused Of Defiling 3-Year-Old In Athi River
"The defendant has a history of criminal charges, and the current allegations, Trial Magistrate said
A 68-year-old American Terry Ray Krieger, previously convicted for child pornography, is once again in the spotlight.
Krieger was arrested on November 9 for allegedly defiling a 3-year-old girl at Great Wall Garden in Athi River.
The accused appeared before the Mavoko Law Courts on November 10, 2023, where he pleaded and was detained.

During today’s court appearance, Trial Magistrate Barbra Ojoo denied Krieger bail, emphasizing his criminal record in America.
“The defendant has a history of criminal charges, and the current allegations carry a sentence of five years imprisonment. I decline to grant bail at this time, as no evidence has been presented indicating the suspect requires special treatment,”stated Ojoo
The case is set to be mentioned on November 27.
This isn’t the first time Krieger has faced trial in Kenya.

In 2013, he was arrested for circulating obscene images of Kenyan underage children on the internet.
In 2014, Krieger pleaded guilty to child pornography charges, leading to a 50-year jail sentence.
However, Krieger was relesed in November 2022 by Justice Momanyi Bwonwong’a, after serving eight years at Kamiti Maximum Prison.
Bwonwong’a argued, “It will be oppressive to order for a retrial of the convict, who is an American citizen.”
The government defended this decision, stating that Krieger had applied for early release as he approached the end of his jail term.
