Woman Charged For Stealing Boyfriend’s Money
A teenager was sentenced to 8 months in Luzira Maximum Prison for stealing money amounting to Ugsh. 3.24 million from his lover of three weeks.
Nampijja Robinah alias Nalugo Milly, an 18-year-old resident of Nyendo, Masaka district was arraigned before judge Mugezi Amon of Nateete/Rubaga Magistrate Court where she admitted to the crime of theft.
The prosecution led by Lukwago David argued that on 28th September, 2023, Nampijja woke up at around 11 PM while her lover Kigongo Ahimbisibwe Reagan was dead asleep at his home in Busega Central and ran away with the money, leaving his door wide open.

Nampijja stated that she stole the money to help with her ailing grandmother and when asked if she still had some of it left, she revealed that her uncle took it all away and switched off his phones.
The culprit however asked for forgiveness and when the judge asked the victim if he would get back with her, Kigongo swore never to forgive her unless she returned his money.
Kigongo further revealed that the money Nampijja stole was for his boss and asked the courts to lock her up for a maximum of two years until her parents paid back every single penny of the money.

While reading her the guilty verdict, judge Magezi revealed that Nampijja was still a young woman who needed to be taught a lesson. She was sent to prison where she will serve 8 months and was given 6 months to pay back the money in full once she gets out.
