23-Year-Old Bar Attendant Murdered, Body Thrown In The Trench.
Police in Matugga have started investigations into the murder of a young woman whose body was discarded in a trench.
The victim identified as 23-year-old Natukunda Letish, a bar attendant at Happy Girls Bar located in Matugga was brutally murdered by unknown assailants and her body dumped in trench along the Kampala-Gulu highway.
According to the deceased’s friends and workmates, she finished her shift in the evening and bid them farewell, saying she was going home to take a nap. To their surprise, a man who had come to drink at the bar to drink broke the news of her death to them.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Onyango Patrick revealed that Natukunda is suspected to have died from strangulation because her neck was twisted and had blood coming out of one of her eyes. This was also a sign that she struggled for her life.
Onyango warned women especially those who work in bars to always be on the lookout for the people they move with in the night to avoid such incidents.
Police retrieved the body and took it to Mulago city mortuary for postmortem
