Man Severely Burns Brother With Acid Over Land
Police in Namisindwa District are investigating circumstances under which a group of people whose identity is yet to be confirmed attacked a man and burned him with what is suspected to be acid.
The incident happened at Sikimbira Village, Masaaka Parish, Namisindwa Sub-county when 47-year-old Katabi Laban was ambushed by the gang and is currently nursing wounds.
Elgon region police spokesperson Taitika Rogers revealed that the victim was coming from a nearby town to buy some household goods when he met with the culprits who he insisted were his brothers. They poured the acid all over his body and took off.

According to Katabi, the gruesome act was done by his brothers including Werikhe with whom he said they have misunderstandings about the family piece of land.
The residents who rescued Katabi took him to Mbale hospital in critical condition with severe burns on his eyes, chest and hands.
