Pastor Receives Bombs As Church Donations

The president of Uganda, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni through a press release revealed how police swiftly unearthed a terrorist plan to bomb two Pentecostal churches in Kibibi, Butambala District.
The incident happened at Redeemed Of The Lord Evangelist Church located in Katende Zone and Raising Gospel Church in Bamulanze Zone when security operatives rounded off the churches having suspected that two bombs were placed on the premises.
Francis Magoba, the Redeemed Of The Lord lead pastor while speaking to journalists revealed that he received a strange phone call on Wednesday last week from an unidentified church member who claimed he was touched by his powerful preaching and now wanted to donate to his evangelist ministry.
“I thought they were fraudsters because I have never shared my number on any posters. So I tested them by asking for money since I was in the process of constructing my church,” Magoba said.
Having asked for money, the unidentified man insisted that he would donate speakers since he was in the same business. His response prompted the pastor to block him on WhatsApp, the social media platform they communicated with.
His counterpart however continued the communication with the suspects and they had three speakers delivered to his church at 10AM with one going to Magoba’s church.
“One man carried the speakers to church and before anything else, we were alerted that our pastor got information over a phone call that the packages were carrying bombs,” one eyewitness, also a church member, narrated.
Fortunately, the police arrived just on time to disperse the crowds and also detonate the bombs before they could injure the church members.
Butambala RDC, Hajji Suleiman Lubwama confirmed the incident and revealed that one suspect was already in custody as investigations go on. He also encouraged locals to always be on a lookout and report any suspicious behavior.
