Mason Mount Bids Farewell To Chelsea Fans
Mason Mount bid farewell to Chelsea fans ahead of his £60 million move to Manchester United.
Chelsea had rejected three bids from Manchester United but finally accepted the third bid for Mason Mount. The England midfielder had just one year left in his contract and had insisted he would not sign a new contract at the club.
Mount took to his Instagram page to bid goodbye to Chelsea fans and the whole team.
“Hi Chelsea fans. Given the speculation over the last couple of months, it may not come as a surprise to you that I’ve made the decision to leave Chelsea. I feel you deserve more than just a written statement. So I wanted to tell you directly how grateful I’ve been for all of your support over the last 18 years. I know some of you won’t be happy with my decision, but it’s what is right for me at this moment in my career.” He said.
An official statement is expected today, confirming his move to Manchester United.
