Liverpool defeated relegation-threatening Leicester City 3-0 at King Power Stadium to keep their Champions League qualification hopes alive.

The Reds won their sixth straight Premier League game thanks to a first-half brace from Curtis Jones, who has been in excellent form.

Mohammed Salah perfectly found the midfielder at the half-way line, and Jones made no mistake. Jones then added his second just minutes later after another salah assist, giving them a 2-0 halftime lead.

In the second half, Leicester City improved their game but offered little threat to Liverpool’s goal. Trent Alexander-Arnold added a third with a magnificent free-kick after the break, giving Liverpool a comfortable win.

Speaking after the game, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp urged his team to keep going.

“The rest is not in our hands, but we know we have to win all the games until the end of the season to have a chance [of qualifying for the Champions League]. Our job is to keep the pressure on. It’s not likely, but if not, then this is already better than we could have expected six, seven weeks ago.” He said.

The victory takes Jurgen Klopp’s team to within a point of the top four, while Leicester City are in trouble of relegation with just 30 points from 36 games played.
