Kilifi Pastor Arrested Over Defiling Minor
A pastor who doubles as a preacher from Jesus Revelation Center (JRC) in Tezo Mbuyuni region has been arrested over defiling a 15-year-old girl.
According to Tezo Nyumba Kumi chairperson,Macdonald Kenga,the preacher identified as Gilbert Kenga has been defiling the girl who is one of his church congregants for more than one year now.
He also details that efforts of the minor’s parents to talk to the preacher to refrain from the act bore no fruits and this forced them to report to authorities to prompt arrest of the preacher.
“The girl is a congregant in the pastor’s church. After a while, she started spending nights praying in the church in the company of this pastor something that raised many questions prompting the family to report to me as Nyumba Kumi chairperson,”Kenga said
“I took an initiative and wrote a letter to the Pastor who unfortunately ignored my message,” he added
On the other hand Majaoni Assistant Chief Nzai Katana expressed his anger and urged residents not to hesitate in reporting such acts.
The minor has been taken to hospital for examination as the accused pastor is expected to be arraigned in court.
