Panic As 40-Year-Old Man Disappears

Residents at Kyamatafaali Village, Lwengo District are in panic after 40-year-old Ndyahebwa Ibra mysteriously disappeared during a visit to his brother.
When residents received the shocking news, they launched a search until they discovered the clothes he was putting on the day he disappeared were dumped by the dam. They suspected that the missing person may have undressed to go for a swim but unfortunately drowned in the water.
Darius Ntegana, the brother of the missing person, cried out to the authorities to seek the services of the marine police to help retrieve his brother’s body in case he had drowned.
The dam where Ndyahebwa is suspected to have drowned was constructed in 2016 under chairman Mutabazi George. It supplies water to over six villages, something that has worried the residents who want the body to be retrieved before it contaminates the water.
The deputy Resident District Commissioner Birimuye Vincent expressed his sympathy to Ndyahebwa’s family and warned locals to avoid swimming from the dam as they risk drowning.
