Woman Injects Co-wife With Poison
The Territorial Police in Kyotera have launched a search for a woman who brutally attacked and killed her co-wife with a dangerous substance.
The suspect identified as Jackie Namubiru is a resident of Lwanzi “B” cell, Mutukula Town Council, Kyotera district, who killed a 23-year-old salon owner, Lydia Nakimera on 20th April, 2023 at around 4pm.
Uganda Police spokesperson Enanga Fred revealed that the suspect injected the victim with a syringe, containing suspected poisonous substances.
She was then rushed to Bulamu clinic, and when her condition got worse, she was later transferred to Byansi’s clinic in Masaka City where she was pronounced dead on 23rd April, 2023 at around 6:30Pm.
The victim is said to have died from the poisonous substance that was in the syringe.
‘We strongly condemn such acts of violence against rivals in relationships. Jealous behaviours can be destructive like in this vey aspect, yet the Family Protection Units have mechanisms in place of resolving family disputes. A serious hunt for the suspect is ongoing,’ Enanga confirmed.
