Dennis Okari Opens Up About Daughter’s Illness & Heavy Medical Bills

Dennis Okari said the hospital told him to pay half of the medical bills yet they hadn't told him what his daughter was suffering from/courtesy.
Media personality Dennis Okari recounted the season his daughter was admitted to the hospital and slapped with huge medical bills before being informed about her sickness.
Speaking to Spice FM on Friday morning, Okari recounted the painful moment of pressure as he shed light on the challenges Kenyans go through when seeking medication.
Okari said that when his daughter was in the Intensive Care Unit for (ICU) barely a week, the doctors told him to pay half of the bill required or something unexpected could happen.

“My daughter was unwell, admitted to the ICU and in a coma. Barely a week am trying to figure out what was going on, and I am slapped with a medical bill not in few thousands; but a couple of millions. The hospital told me I had to pay half immediately, or else,” Okari recounted.
The former NTV anchor revealed that he felt more pressure after the hospital’s demands since they hadn’t told him what his daughter was suffering from.
“You are under pressure to understand what is going on, and you are being pushed for money to pay, and at the end of the day, you are actually not told what is wrong with the patient, so you have to leave with your loved ones without knowing what is wrong with them, and that is how it is for so many Kenyans in this country when going to the hospitals,” he added.
