When he rushed to the school to witness what had happened, Maate was allegedly blocked from accessing his daughter who was reported to be in critical condition.
He rushed together with a school administrator and found his daughter admitted. There has not been a case filed at the police yet because Maate is currently taking care of his daughter who is currently unstable.

This is the second time a teacher from the same school has been put in the spotlight for assaulting a student. In March this year, a senior two student identified as Nyangoma Joan, alleged that during an entrepreneurship exam, one Mukiibi Justus slapped her several times and dragged her into his office where he continued to beat her.
She was admitted at Jobita Medical Center where they found evidence of assault on both hands, back and chest.
