Eric Omondi Arraigned In Court For Leading Protests in Kisumu
Popular Comedian Eric Omondi and four others have been arraigned in a Kisumu court.
Eric and friends spent the night in a Kisumu police cell following their arrest on Wednesday at afternoon.
Eric Omondi and his Colleagues were arrested in Kisumu CBD when he was leading some residents along the Jomo Kenyatta streets to protest over the high cost of living, increased fees and rampant unemployment rate in kenya
During the arrest, Eric and his team blocked the streets while lying on mattresses, thus forced the police to lob teargas and arrest him.
This is not the first time the comedian-cum-activist is being held by police, last month Eric was arrested while demonstrating in Nairobi CBD and caused disturbance. He was also arrested as he tries to make a procession to statehouse Nairobi with a cart full of ‘’CVs’’
