The Suns Eliminate Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers were eliminated by the Phoenix Suns after being beaten 136-130 thanks to Devin Booker’s 47 points in Game 5.

The Phoenix Suns took advantage of the injury-hit Clippers team going into game 5, and they knocked them out in the first round. Devin Booker led the Suns in scoring with 47 points, including an epic 25-point third quarter while shooting 19 of 29 from the field. Kevin Durant added another 31 points, while Deandre Ayton scored 21 points and added 11 rebounds in the win.

On the Clippers’ side, Norman Powell scored 27 points, while Mason Plumlee had a game off the bench with 20 points. Russell Westbrook had a tough night shooting the ball and he scored just 14 points on 3-18 field goal attempts.

Kevin Durant praised Devin Booker after the game. “It was spiritual,” Durant said about Booker’s performance. “I don’t scream too much in games as I get older, but when he hit that 3 at the top of the key, I felt that energy, and I know everyone in the crowd felt it. We feed off his aggression.” He said.

The Phoenix Suns will face off against the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the Western Conference.
