Frank Lampard Confirms Injury Setback For Chelsea Duo
Chelsea caretaker manager Frank Lampard confirmed on Tuesday that both Reece James and Mason Mount will be unavailable for Chelsea for the remainder of the season.
The Stamford Bridge-based club is having a tough season and is currently on the second page of the Premier League table.
They will not compete in any European competition next season, as the only chance they had was knocking out Real Madrid, but they failed.
Chelsea have fired two managers this season, Thomas tuchel and his replacement, Graham Potter. Their season free spending has not payed off as much of their stars have not been firing.
Speaking ahead of the clash against Brentford, Frank Lampard confirmed more bad news for the Chelsea faithful by confirming that both Mount and James would be unavailable till the end of the season. “Reece James is unavailable, probably for the season,” Lampard began.
“Mason Mount, the same. Potential [to return] for the last game of the season, but probably not. That’s obviously disappointing for us.” They’re big players. Reece had a hamstring injury that he picked up in the midweek game [against Real Madrid]. He got through the game but scanned it the following day.” He said.
Frank Lampard will hope to get his first win since he was hired as the caretaker manager and has lost all the games he has managed.
