Gor Mahia Hots Up Race For FKF League Tittle
Gor Mahia kept their adrenaline high in the highly contested Match against Bandari FC and eventually collected the maximum point against the Mombasa-based club.
Striker Benson Omala returned to the scoring sheet by netting two goals in the 48th and 69th minutes. Bandari would later halve the score in the 75th minute and piled the pressure on Kogalo but they couldn’t break the solid defense Gor had mounted. Omala added his goal tally to 21.
The result retains Jonathan McKinstry boys at the top of the table with 52 points making them active title contenders.
However, Gor Mahia are closely followed by defending champions Tusker Fc who also secured an important win against Mathare united. The brewers fell the slum Boys 2-0.
