UDA Set To Reopen Burnt Offices in Kisumu and Siaya
Ruling UDA party has indicated plans of reopening of its vandalised offices in Kisumu and Siaya Counties.
In a statement, Cleophas Malala who’s the party secretary general said he’ll making a visit to the counties so as to repaint and open back the offices.
This comes Hours after President William Ruto agreed to have a Dialogue with Opposition Leader Raila Odinga.
“In the spirit of appreciating dialogue efforts as called for by my President, William Ruto and Raila Odinga, we shall be going to Siaya and Kisumu City to repaint the vandalised UDA offices and officially re-open them. Tukutane Ground,” Malala said.
The offices in Kisumu were set ablaze on March 20 whilst that in Siaya County on March 30.
In his first assignment as Secretary General of UDA, Cleophas Malala promised to launch the party’s offices in areas deemed to be having Raila Odinga’s massive Support.
“My first assignment is to open a UDA party office in Kisumu. We have registered 5,325 members in the county. Watu wa Dala karibisheni UDA. Kisumu is going to be painted yellow,” he said.
On 2nd April President William Ruto agreed to a bi-partisan approach in the recruitment of iebc commissioners as asked by the opposition.
Azimio in the counter offer called off the Demos for a week’s time to allow the talks.
