The murder case against a pregnant woman that killed her husband who had just been released from prison has been committed to the High Court.

The 20-year-old Fidali Neymar a resident of Kakindu, Katabi had her committal warrant in the matter read and translated to her by Chief Magistrate Amabillis Stella Maris.

“Your case is no longer in my hands. You will no longer be brought to this court before me for mention, but you shall wait for any next criminal session of the High Court possibly in Kampala or here, whichever,” She said.

Fidali’s husband, the late Mbaziira Tony was arrested in 2019 on some charges and while he still served his time, the accused hooked up another man identified as Jonah Rider. When Mbaziira got out of jail, he realized his wife was involved with another man.

The couple mended their relationship but Fidali is said to have continued seeing Jonah on the side. On the fateful day of 26th August, 2022, Mbaziira returned home but did not find his wife. When he asked her where she was, she revealed she was in a bar in Kawempe and demanded Mbaziira to come pick her up.

The deceased reportedly found her in the company of Jonah and brought her back home. The next morning neighbors were woken by Fidalis screams who claimed her husband was having complications and could not breathe.

The neighbors who rushed to the couple’s house to offer first aid reportedly found Mbaziira face down lying in a pool of blood with his body half naked. The witnesses tipped off Kisubi police who rushed to the scene. Mbaziira was pronounced dead and the body taken to Mulago Referral Hospital for postmortem.

According to the court report, the deceased passed on due to excessive bleeding from a wound deep in his heart. A police form to confirm Fidal’s mental state before standing trial stated that she was of sound mind.
