Residents Help First Wife Fight For Her Marriage
Drama unfolded with the residents of Kikajjo Namasuba, who threw out a family man’s second wife just a day after she had moved in.
According to reports, the husband Muhammed Ssenfuma chased away his official wife, Hadijah Nansubuga with whom they share five children. The couple had been together for 19 years and struggled to get where they are.
After throwing her out, Ssenfuma is accused of bringing in another woman identified as Faridah Namala to take over his wife’s place. The sad Hadijah rushed to the local councils to help fight for her marriage and once residents got to know about this, they came to her aid.
The teary Hadijja called out her husband for abandoning their children in favor of his new woman. She also accused him of sending them into a rental near their marital home as her place had been hijacked by the new wife.
‘He threw me out of the house with our children without giving me anywhere to go. They wanted to take over our house and with her. ” he cried for help.
Many locals attribute the man’s success to Nansubuga’s support and resilience so they could not let another woman enjoy her sweat.
“No woman will come and take over Hadijjah’s home. It will never happen. If she wants a home, she should go and struggle for it.” A neighbor vowed.
The group consisting of mostly women who were responsible for reinstating Hadijja back into her marital home said they could not just sit back and watch their fellow woman get disrespected.
Despite resistance from Ssenfuma, Hadijjah was finally brought back to her home. The angry locals in turn threw out the now ashamed Faridah’s belongings and pushed her out of the house. She had no choice but to leave amidst cheers and insults from neighbors.
