Husband And His Mistress Hire Medical Doctor To Murder Wife
Man accused of having conspired with his mistress to have his legal wife and mother of his children murdered has been aligned before the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Luweero District for his first hearing.
It is reported that the suspect, Musoke Friday and his mistress Kanyonyozi Enid contacted the key prosecution witness, Dr. Onesmus Bainomugisha to have the mother of his four children killed through a medical procedure at his health facility in Bombo town, Luweero.
According to Dr. Bainomugisha, he recorded the two suspects as evidence to rule out any suspicions by the relatives since other means they had to murder the victim could leave behind a trail that would lead to suspicion.
“I did not only act professionally, but had deep pain to save the life of this mother by any means through contacting the authorities. I knew that if I simply turned away the suspects, they could possibly find alternative means of executing the mission since they were already determined to have the woman killed,” Dr Bainomugisha testified before Chief Magistrate Mariam Nalwanga on March 6.
According to court records, Kanyonyozi, a resident of Bombo Mile 2 Zone visited Dr. Bainomugisha at Global Medical Centre on 16th December, 2022 and in the taped conversation, she narrated how she had come for a secret deal and not as a patient.
“The deal involved a man identified as Friday Musoke, also a resident of Bombo Mile 21 Zone, who wanted to kill his wife but through a medical procedure that would be paid in a negotiated deal involving only the three people, including the doctor,” Dr Bainomugisha testified.
He further noted that Kanyonyozi explained to him how Musoke was willing to pay a sum of UGX 5 million upon the completion of the deal. As the negotiations were taking place, the witness was forwarding the information to Bombo police under the general inquiry file which had been opened.
Musoke reportedly showed up three days later and identified himself before Dr. Bainomugisha who tasked him to call his mistress. Through a phone conversation, she confirmed that he was the owner and mastermind behind the deal.
“During our discussion, which I secretly recorded, I asked Musoke why he wanted to kill his wife and why he had chosen the medical procedure and not any other means including the use of the gun…I also inquired about his relationship with Enid Kanyonyozi and how sure he was that she would not disclose the deal to a third party. Musoke explained that he trusted Kanyonyozi.” Dr Bainomugisha spoke before court.
In the taped conversation, Musoke accused his wife of making his life hard, being disrespectful to his status as the man of the house and turning his children against him. He further narrated how he had tried a number of other means to eliminate his wife in vain. He opted for a medical procedure since it would rule out any possible means of foul play.
As agreed, Kanyonyozi on 29th December, 2022 visited Global Medical Centre to give Dr. Bainomugisha UGX 500,000, the first installment of the amount negotiated by Musoke.
Dr. Bainomugisha alerted the Luweero District Police Commander who swiftly contacted the Police Flying Squad.
The following day 30th December, 2022 Musoke called Dr. Bainomugisha stating that he would collect the chloroform which he would use to render his wife unconscious to help transport her to the facility for the plot. He was however arrested by the flying squad shortly after picking the chloroform.
