Murdered In Quest For A child
A woman,60, has been arrested for killing her husband,50, who demanded a child from her.
The woman identified as Nanlongo Babirye is said to have quarreled with her husband Richard Ssemambo about the matter which seems to have not gotten to an amicable conclusion.
“The couple had gone to a happening place in Kasangati when they disagreed about having a child. We have learnt that the husband Richard Ssemambo was demanding a child from his sixty-year-old wife,” police spokesperson Fred Enanga said.
The wife then took a spear and hit her husband leading to severe bleeding. In what seems to be sorry for the act, she attempted to stop the bleeding by tying a piece of cloth around him but this did not help as the victim succumbed due to profuse bleeding.
“When the couple to got home, the wife got a spear and pierced her husband. Nnalongo only tied a piece of cloth on her husband which didn’t help because he bled the whole night. Ssemambo was found dead the following day.”
Additionally, there are claims that the husband had murdered his step-children who are his wife’s children before making this request.
Nnalongo who is a landlady, has been arrested alongside other four people who are his tenants.
She will be charged with first degree murder while the four will be charged for aiding in executing the murder.
“We arrested four other people alongside her. They just looked on the crime went on meaning they aided crime,” Enanga said.
