Drinking Coke, Pepsi May Increase Testicle Size,Sperm Count, Study Shows

Carbonated beverages have for a long time been believed to reduce sperm quality and motility when consumed one litre a day.

However, recent research conducted by researchers from Northwest Minzu University in China, have claimed the consumption of carbonated beverages increases the size of testicles and sperm count.

They took mice as a sample where one group of mice was given plain water and the other group given Coca Cola and Pepsi drinks to analyse the effect of carbonated beverages on sperm count and testicle sizes.

After 15 days, the researchers measured the size of the testicles, blood sugar tests and weight where they discovered the mice that had consumed Coca Cola and Pepsi drinks demonstrated a high rise in blood sugar, quantity of sperms and increase in size of the testicles.

In a recent study before the above previous research, it was established that massive consumption of coffee or caffeine increased testosterone production.

So far, there’s still little documentation correlating reproductive function and fertility in animals and humans although researchers claim more studies have to be done.

What has been in existence has been claims that consumption of carbonated beverages may lead to obesity, cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes.

In the previous studies on the other hand, “health damage effects of carbonated beverages on
