Two teenage girls aged 14 and 16 are crying for help accusing their mother of forcing them to have sexual relations with their step father in money rituals.
The children who stay anonymous note that their step father, Hajji Abaasi Muyanja has on numerous occasions raped them with the help of their own mother wife Joweria Nassali at their home in Nakaseke District before they ran away. They are currently being housed a Good Samaritan, Nakiganda Hadijjah in Katikamu, Luwero District
One of the children narrates that their mother initiated the act after she started showing them adult films which would prepare them to have sexual intercourse with their father. She further explained how according to their mother the act would give them wealth as a family.
“One day she called me and showed me the adult content on the phone. She told me she was tired of being poor so the only way was to sleep with her husband to get wealth.” She narrated.
On failure to do so, the victim recounts her mother telling her that she would disown them. This was coupled with torture and hard labour and at one point, she was forcefully held by her mother to let the father have his way.
“My mother held my hands and mouth so that I would not shout. She let her husband rape me in front of her.”
Besides the rape, the victim accuses the mother of forcing them into prostitution so that they could get money.
“One night while I was asleep, a man came and raped me. When I tried to shout for help, my mother came and beat me so badly.”
The victims say they have not been given justice because the day Hajji Abaasi was arrested; they let him go after bail was posted by her mother.
Speaking of her current health status, this has not only affected her psychologically but the victim says she has a lot of pain arising from the act and is crying for help.
The LC1 representative also claims that he has tried to seek justice for the two children in vain because he is receiving death threats.
Speaking with the Regional police spokesperson in the area, Patrick Lule in a phone interview about the matter, he denied knowledge of what had been going on and vowed to investigate the matter further.
“I was not aware of whatever they are saying but now that I have the details, I’m going to consult the DPC Nakaseke or CID for updates.” Lule said.
