Celebrated Swahili Journalist Hassan Mwana Wa Ali of the famous Character Amope has called it a day in the Standard Group owned Media station, Radio Maisha.

 

The Journalist  announced his departure through a writing on the Nairobian Newspaper today.

 

“Kwaheri Radio Maisha, buriani Nairobian adieu(goodbye) Standard” read the title of his writing.

Hassan, who has worked in Radio Maisha for several years gained the love of his audience through his astute mastery of Swahili language as well as comical sports commentary skills.

 

Many who have listened to him, confess having their bad days turned around and his  perfect art of audience retention, has always kept his audience glued to his programs to the end, most of the time leaving them yearning for more.

 

To Primary and secondary school teachers, Hassan has been a great contribution to their students’ excellent performance in Kiswahili through his popular show “Nuru Ya Lugha” segmented in various catchy sections befitting students.

 

While his next move remains unclear, Hassan will reportedly host his last show tomorrow, as he bid his audience and colleagues goodbye live on air.

 

He joins his colleagues who have quit the station in the recent past among them Beatrice Maganga who was a news Presenter at Radio Maisha.

 

Speaking exclusively on Billy O’clock, Hassan has however not denied or agreed to quitting the Standard Group station, maintaining that he will make everything clear tomorrow during his “Nuru Ya Lugha” show.

 

“Subiri nitatoa matangazo kesho wakati wa Kipindi cha Nuru ya Lugha” he said
