Kenya national women Rugby team- lionesses now has a new management. This is after Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) signed a partnership agreement with Alymali Sports Management that will see them lead the Management and Commercialization of Lionesses.

 

 

The partnership will run for three years to ensure the women’s team get the much needed support to ensure smooth running of the team and participation in various tournaments improve as to improve on their overall ranking and exposure.

 

 

Some of the roles of Alymali is to secure sponsorships for the Team, undertaking activities that will provide support for the development of the Brand Lionesses and players both at team level and at a personal level.

 

 

The KRU Chairperson Oduor Gangla said the team’s impressive performance and ability to produce top notch professional players despite limited resources and endless challenges they encounter.

 

 

Oduor acknowledged Alymali’s determination in positively transforming the sports scene in Africa and vowed to support their efforts in improving the sport and most especially the Women’s division.

 

 

He was speaking at the official signing ceremony at the Alymali Offices in Westlands in an event attended Lionesses 15’s Captain Peruce Mayuka.

 

 

Peruce welcomed the partnership, saying it has come at an opportune time when they need much support to participate in critical tournaments to ensure they qualify for the Olympics.

 

 

She reiterated their commitment as players to ensure they fly the flag high with impressive performances in their fixtures.

 

 

On her part, Silalei Shani, the Alymali’s Director of Sports and Entertainment expressed her gratitude to the Union for taking a leap of faith and trusting the “New kid in the block”.

 

 

She affirmed the company’s efforts in looking for the right Sponsors and Partners for the Brand Lionesses to ensure optimal performance and sustainability so that the players can fully concentrate on their performance on the pitch.
