Popular Kamba Businessman Dies In An Accident

Patrick Nzuki Mutinda commonly referred to as Ithea Mavatha alias Wamatwins has lost his life in an accident that occurred at Kenani area along the Nairobi – Mombasa highway 30 kilometers away from the Mtito Andei Police Station.

According to police reports, the vehicle the singer was traveling in, a Toyota Hilux, ran into an head-on collision while overtaking.

“The double cabin which was being driven by Rodgers Muia aged 30 years was heading to Mombasa from Nairobi and he overtook carelessly,” reads the police report.

The businessman who built his reputation as one of the most respected Kamba businessmen and is remembered for nurturing several artists unfortunately has his life cut short when he was at the peak.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to the Kambu Sub-county Hospital mortuary to await autopsy while the injured are receiving treatment at Makindu Level IV Hospital.
