Prof. George Magoha Lands A Lucrative Job At Maseno University

The no nonsense former Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha has had luck knock at his doors.

The CS who worked under the second regime of former President Uhuru Kenyatta, has landed a new job at the School of Medicine, Maseno University.

Dr Owen McOnyango, the varsity’s Director of Public Relations, has told one Kenya’s local daily that the experienced intelligentsia will be more impactful to the institution.

“He is an asset to us due to his vast experience and strong professional background. Our School of Medicine is relatively new and to get an experienced and strong personality like Magoha is definitely a plus for us,” said Dr McOnyango.

The Proffesor who served as Vice-Chancellor at the University of Nairobi (UoN) between 2005 to 2015 and as a Professor of Urological and Transplant Surgery at UoN’s College of Health Sciences, will not only be productive to undergraduates but also postgraduates.

Prof Stephen Ogendo, the Dean at the School of Medicine, impressed by the don, has said the Professor vast networks will see the institution producing best products.

“Apart from his academic standing, his networks will definitely benefit Maseno and enable us to develop ourselves even more,” said Prof Ogendo.

Maseno University’s School of Medicine was established in the year 2011 and has so far had four graduation cohorts.
