Lilian Nganga Reveals Her Relationship Status With Alfred Mutua Almost Four Years After Split

Lilian Nganga, a former wife of Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection Alfred Mutua, has shared several reasons that caused their split almost 4 years ago.

Lilian Nganga, a former wife of Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection Alfred Mutua, has shared several reasons that caused their split almost 4 years ago.

 

Speaking to Dr Ofweneke TV, the Project Manager revealed that she became the first lady at the age of 25 when Mutua was the governor for Makueni County.

 

Nganga revealed that she was already a mature woman but in her early 30s, she desired to get freedom in her life but not to end relationship with Mutua.

I met Alfred when I was 25, and then now, I’m the first lady; I had to grow up. However, at 25, I was a mature girl. I matured early.

 

“When I got into my early 30s, I felt there was more out there, and I wanted to break free, not end a relationship but just to be my person.” The mother of one shared.

 

Nganga explained that her desire for freedom never sat well with Mutua, and that sparked relationship wrangles in their marriage.

I think our fights now started from a partner, hapana, you can’t, it’s us, we can’t break free…” She revealed, adding that the season made her learn many things about herself.

 

“So, I think when you get into your 30s as a woman, it’s just natural for you to want more for yourself, and if you can’t go through that, I think there’s a problem as a woman.” She added.

 

However, she stated that she and Mutua made up and that they are now good friends despite their split. “Alfred and I are currently good friends. Everything came down, temperatures came down, and now, we are just good friends. It was meant to be that way. You can’t fight it.” She stated.

 

Nganga is currently married to Julian, Kenyan musician and the two have been blessed with a baby boy named Utheri.
