Kansiime Reveals Why She Paid Her Own Bride Price
Renowned Ugandan comedienne Anne Kansiime has made a surprising revelation about her past relationship, disclosing that she paid her own bride price.
Speaking in a recent interview, the mother of one explained that she took the unusual step due to frustration over constant reminders from her father and her financial capability at that time.
Kansiime stated that she expected her partner to eventually repay her and continued reminding him to settle the bride price. However, after making the payment the matter was never brought up again.

“I was tired of my father asking me to remind the man I was with and then at that point I was really making a lot many. I felt like I can give dad this money so that we stop talking about this.
“Then I keep telling this guy to pay and when he pays he gives it to me. Somehow, after paying I stopped pestering and we never brought it up and that’s it,” she revealed.
The talented comedian stated that despite their breakup, she does not regret it, as she sees it as part of her journey.

“I don’t think I regret nearly any of the things have happened to me before, because it’s because of them I am here now,” she said.
Kansiime also revealed that she doesn’t love short men. She highlighted that since she’s short, it’s quite unfair for her to date such kind of men.
Further, she said her relationship with Skylanta wasn’t good in their last three years. She explained that the relationship wasn’t romantic as compared to when they started.
