Music Frenemies Harmonize, Diamond Platnumz Shake Hands at Trace Awards

Rajab Kahali popularly known as Harmonize caused a storm on the internet after he shook hands with his former boss Diamond Platnumz at the Trace Awards in Zanzibar.
In the viral clip shared online, Harmonize and Diamond Platnumz were filmed greeting each other as they cracked ribs.
The artists have not been on good terms since they split five years ago. At the time of the split, Harmonize accused Platnumz of oppression, individualism and false accusations about his family.

“I was signed into a 10-year contract at WCB. Any money I earned within the contract, Diamond would take 60%, leaving me with 40%. I would have to add my own money to my share to push my music,” he revealed in an interview in the US in 2021.
He further stated that Platnumz always feuds with super-talented artists in Tanzania who have made a big name, including Alikiba.
“Any artist that has been a hit in Tanzania including Ben Pol, and Ali Kiba among others, has been in a fallout with Diamond,” Harmonize added.

Yesterday at the Trace Awards in Zanzibar, the two artists met for the first time after five years and greeted each other.
Harmonize said he would beat Platnumz and win the Trace Awards ahead of the awards. However, Bien, Kenya’s finest artist floored them and backed the best artist in Eastern Africa.
