Speaking in a recent interview, the celebrated filmmaker said that choosing a life partner who is also a best friend ensures that even when challenges arise, the relationship can endure.

“Before you commit to being in a relationship, you make sure that, that person is your best friend first. Lazima akuwe rafiki yako wa dhati, before muanze kufikiria mambo ya kukimbizana kwa kitanda kwanza. Because when love fades away, friendship is the glue that holds you together,” he shared.
Recently, Abel Mutua revealed that his wife Judy Nyawira had seen him cry twice in her life. He explained that Judy saw him crying during their wedding and when he lost his mother in 2009.
