Nigeria Wards Alikiba With An Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award 2024
Ali Saleh Kiba, popularly known as Alikiba, has bagged an Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award from Nigeria.
In an exclusive interview shared by Crown Media, NXT Honors, an entertainment organization awarded Alikiba with the award for his achievements in the entertainment industry.
Saliu Momoh, CEO of NXT Honors, said Alikiba’s hard work and love for Swahili culture deserved accolades. He explained that it’s rare to meet an artiste maintaining his/her ethics in the entertainment industry for a period lasting over two decades.

“Alikiba’s impact on African music goes beyond his songs. He has been a cultural force, bridging gaps across the entire continent while remaining true to his roots. It is only fitting that we recognize his legacy with our highest honor.” Momoh, NXT Honors CEO said.
Mr. Momoh added that Alikiba was the first artiste outside Nigeria to bag the Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award; citing that the singer’s contribution to the entertainment industry across Africa birthed many artists.
The King of Bongo Flava, on his side, expressed his gratitude, citing hard work, focus, and good relationship with fans as the cause for his rise and long stay in the entertainment industry.

In 2023, the Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Nigerian producer Don Jazzy for his exemplary contributions to Afrobeat’s music genre.
Besides the awards, NXT Honors shared that its goal is to recognize and award African artists across the entertainment industry for preserving and spreading African culture across the continent.
