Alikiba Reveals Reason He Never Flaunts His Lifestyle Online
Ali Saleh Kiba, a Tanzania artiste also known as Alikiba, has shared reasons why he doesn’t flaunt his expensive lifestyle on social media.
In an exclusive talk with Tanzania digital journalists, Alikiba revealed that he values and loves a simple lifestyle that doesn’t guarantee him to flaunt it on social media.
Alikiba explained that many people from humble backgrounds struggle to feed their families and take their children to nice schools.

“Mimi sidhani kama ni fair ku-post chakula. Ku-post kitu ambacho unaona mwenzako anahangaika kupata, sioni kama ni fair.” Alikiba responded to journalists why he keeps his lifestyle private.
The legendary Bongo Flava artiste added that other families struggle to get a meal a day and that exposing his private life enjoying nice delicacies is a disservice to society.
“Kuna watu hawana maji…ila wengine wanapost mtandaoni vile wananawa maji mazuri…Kuna watu wananawa vinywaji…ilhali wengine wamelala njaa…Kuna mtu mtu unampata anaonyesha pesa mtandaoni ni kama yupo Marekani… Huku si Marekani. Ni vyema tuishi kibinadamu na tuishi kumjua na kumheshimu mwenyezi Mungu.” He added.

In a separate interview with Kenya’s digital journalists, Alikiba declined to reveal the amount he was paid to perform at Raha Fest in December 2024.
The singer explained that it wasn’t fair for him to act like other singers by revealing the amount he was paid to perform.
“Siwezi nikaonyesha amount. Kwa nini? Si hiyo ni kazi bure? Sifanyi kazi bure na nimelipwa vizuri ila kuonyesha kiasi, that’s very personal,” he stated.
