Alikiba Opens Up on Diamond Platnumz, Willy Paul’s Recent Rift at Furaha Festival
Ali Saleh Kiba, popularly known as Alikiba, urged East African artists to embrace unity as he reacted to Diamond Platnumz and Willy Paul’s recent rift at the Furaha City Festival.
Alikiba, the King of Bongo Flava music, said that artists should avoid generalization theory when differences emerge between or among themselves.
In his reaction to Diamond Platnumz and Willy Paul’s recent viral rift, Alikiba stated that the rift between the artists nearly caused disunity between Tanzania netizens and Kenyans.

“Nikikosana na msanii wa Kenya, msiseme ndivyo Watanzania walivyo. Sema Alikiba ametukosea. Sisi ni wa East Africa and we need to move forward na watu waelewe kuna watu East Africa wanaitwa akina Alikiba, Otile Brown na wengine,” the legendary singer said.
“Mimi Otile Brown akinikosea siwezi nikasema Wakenya ndio wamenikosea. Sema Otile ndiyo tabia yake. That’s how a family lives,” he added.
Further, the Kings Record Label founder requested for music balance across East Africa’s media houses. He said music should be heterogeneous to promote each other without bias.

“Nilisikia watu wakisema kwamba Tanzania hawapigi miziki za Kenya… please! Please!… We need each other. Tunahitajiana. We are neighbours na tukikosana, hatutakuwa na mziki wenye identity ya East Africa. Hiyo haifai.” Alikiba advised.
