Upendo Nkone: Gospel Artists Don't Love Each Other

Upendo Nkone, a Tanzania gospel artiste has revealed that gospel singers don’t show love to each other. The singer said only a handful of them embrace love.

Speaking to one media house in Tanzania, the legendary gospel artiste disclosed that a big percentage of gospel singers don’t embrace unity.

Upendo Nkone revealed that although she and Christina Shusho love each other, not all of Tanzania’s gospel singers emulate the biblical teachings about love.

The Nakaza Mwendo crooner claimed when an attack befalls one gospel artiste, fellow artists don’t show up for support. In her statement, they should embrace love and unity as sisters and brothers in Christ.

“Wasanii wa gospel hatuna ushirikiano, hatupendani. Ni wachache tu ambao tunawasiliana. “ Upendo Nkone revealed as she added that she and Christina Shusho are good friends and come from the same hometown.

Further, Upendo Nkone reacted to Martha Mwaipaja’s recent family saga by saying social media isn’t for the wicked. She said rather than being a victim by playing safe, one should assess himself or herself about his/her wrongs before responding to social media trolls.

She disclosed that when she was trolled online over the loss of her husband, she assessed herself and asked for forgiveness from those she wronged, and her peace was restored.

“Kama watu wanakupiga mawe na wewe moyoni mwako unajiona hauna makosa basi endelea na Mungu wako, lakini kama mawe unayopigwa yana ukweli na wewe unaliona kosa basi omba msamaha. Kuomba msamaha si ujinga.

“Mimi nilipopigwa, niligundua kosa langu na nikaenda kwa Mungu nikamwambia; Mungu nilikosa, niliteleza, naomba unisamehe.” She explained as she metaphorically advised Martha Mwaipaja to seek forgiveness from those she had wronged.
