“Nilijipata Hospitalini”: Mike Nyagwoka Shares Painful Incident He Survived Death After Tragic Accident

Mike Nyagwoka, a creme de la creme Swahili journalist is still grateful to God following a tragic road accident that happened over 12 years ago.
Speaking to Radio 47’s journalists Billy Miya and Mbaruk Mwalimu, Mike Nyagwoka said he was involved in a tragic accident in Kisii two months after he had completed campus and picked up his Certificate.
The former Radio Maisha Swahili editor and news presenter stated that although many may say it was a sad incident, he’s ever grateful for it.

Nyagwoka said he’s ever grateful because he escaped death by a whisker. “Kitu kizuri ambacho kimefanyikia katika maisha yangu ni kunusurika katika ajali. It’s a bad thing to those who may think pengine ilinidhuru but the best thing that happened to me is to survive,” he shared.
The Moi University alumnus explained that if he couldn’t survive after the accident, indescribable incidents could have happened, and his family members could take years to recover from the loss.
“The reason I am saying this as the best thing that happened to me is, wewe umemaliza chuo, umegraduate, then you can imagine now chochote kifanyike kile kibaya zaidi. Kinaweza kikamwacha mama na makovu, baba na makovu, sister makovu, so, it’s the best thing that has happened to me. “ He explained.

Nyagwoka added that he’s also ever grateful because he never died. “Ajali iliwashtua wanafamilia lakini…the the best thing that happened to me is to wake up in the hospital and see that I am alive na kuanza maisha,” he added.
