Reggae Artiste Etana Pays Tribute to Late MC Jahmby Koikai

Etana urged Kenyans never to forget the late reggae MC Jahmby Koikai/ courtesy/Etana(L), Jahmby(R).
Shauna McKenzie, a Jamaican reggae artiste popularly known as Etana has paid her tribute to Kenya’s late reggae fanatic MC Jahmby Koikai.
In an emotional moment shared online, Etana said Jahmby was a fan of many and loved reggae songs and planning for the events from the bottom of her heart.
In the viral clip in which Etana was on stage performing ahead of her anticipated show over the weekend, she pleaded with Kenyans not to forget Jahmby Koikai.

Etana revealed that before she came to Kenya, she had myriads of thoughts about Jahmby Koikai that left her heartbroken.
She said she grieved the late revered female Mc and would never forget her. “Today when I woke up, I thought about one female DJ who passed away named Jahmby Koikai and when I do this song, I will do this one for her,” Etana said while on stage set to perform.
“I want you not just to post because she passed away, but never forget how powerful she was in reggae music in Kenya. Never forget that and no time, not date. I want you to remember her. Never to forget.” She emphasized.

Etana added that she doesn’t want to forget Jahmby Koikai but lives to remember her. “I think I’m coming out of the circle, wanting to take control, be loved, be free and given all the materials. I need to be loved so her past is over,” she emotionally sang.
Jahmby Koikai, 38 succumbed to Endometriosis in June 2024. She revered MC and a media personality who battled the sickness for over two decades.
