Mercy Masika said Kenyans front foreigners and downgrade their own rather than showing them support.

Mercy Masika opines that for the growth Kenya's entertainment industry, Kenyans should support their artists/ courtesy.


Mercy Masika, Kenya’s celebrated gospel artiste has backed Pastor T Mwangi by urging Kenyans to support their entertainment artists and manufacturers.

Mercy Masika said Kenyans front foreigners and downgrade their own rather than showing them support.

Mercy Masika said Kenya has highly skilled, educated and talented people who are so productive and reliable during times of need.

This year, I’ve read books by Kenyan authors, and I’m blown away by the wisdom we have. Yet, we still rush to buy foreign books. I’ve listened to countless recordings and amazing Kenyan preachers, but we don’t celebrate them enough.” Mercy Masika said.

The gospel artiste also requested Kenyans to support their business. She said most Kenyans buy goods and products from foreigners, sidelining shops of their brothers and sisters.

I’ve supported Made in Kenya products, but it’s shocking how we prefer to shop at places like China Square instead of supporting our own businesses.” The singer stated.

Our country is suffering from what Pastor T called “low-key witchcraft” — a deep-seated preference for anything foreign over what we have locally. It’s heartbreaking because we have so much potential right here, but we fail to recognize and support it. Why not believe in, celebrate, and invest in our own?” She added.

In a separate post, Pastor T Mwangi of Life Church International Limuru said most Kenyans don’t attend crusades of  Kenyan Pastors but prefer foreigners.

The televangelist requested Kenyans to subscribe to the YouTube channels of Kenyan artists and attend events hosted by their preachers.
