Kenyan comedian Njugush and his wife Celestine Ndinda have shared that a decade ago they ran broke until they sold a Television (TV) to get rent.

In their recent episode on their channel, the celebrated couple stated that the only thing that could have saved them from being evicted from the house was their television.

Njugush said his 32-inch TV was OLX and he sold it at a throw-away price that left him nursing inner pain. According to him, he never felt nice selling the TV but on the other hand, it was their only rescue.

“Tuliuza TV tulipe rent lakini nilifika mahali karibu nipige nduru niseme nimeibiwa,” Njugush narrated his emotions after he sold the TV at Ksh. 6000 to a city broker.

He added that during the bargaining session, the broker smoked cigars at his house as he argued that the TV was not even worth Ksh.6000. According to Njugush, it took time for him to reach a win-win situation with the broker.

“Alikuja kwanza akavutia sigara kwangu na hakuvutiwi sigara. Sasa nilinyamaza tu kwa sababu nilikuwa nataka pesa,” he explained.
