Comedian Oga Obinna says he was recently accused of being a deadbeat father to a 16-year-old boy. In an exclusive with Vickie Vickna, Obinna said during the Kamba Fest event in Nairobi, one woman called him out over parental negligence.
According to him, he was shocked with the accusations because he only has a 14-year-old son, and he doesn’t have any child out of wedlock.
“A certain lady greeted me and then called me out for being a deadbeat dad. She said, Obinna how are you? Hebu shuka kwa gari so that I can downsize you,” he stated.

Feeling shocked, he asked; “What do you mean when you say downsize you?” She replied, “Shuka kwa gari. Ama umeniogopa? Umeniogopa because you impregnated my friend, and you are not taking care of your child.”
However, Obinna stated that he had never heard or met such allegations because the public knows all his children and he doesn’t hide them.
“My firstborn is 14 and if that would happen, then I would have a 15- or 16-year-old boy though it’s not possible. My firstborn son is my first sexual encounter. Ile, I had like, yenyewe hii nimechovya asali, ” he revealed.

Further, Obinna said the lady might have been misinformed or intoxicated to the extent that she accused him of being a deadbeat father.
” Either she was intoxicated, misinformed or uninformed. All of them don’t involve me but I am the guy who is gonna bear the consequences because according to her and her friends and what she always tells them, maybe she met someone else who is not me because I also get confused with a couple of people in the industry,” he added.
