In an exclusive with digital journalists, Marya stated that every couple has its challenges and theirs is not exceptional. According to her, she’s no longer together with her husband YY Comedian.
“I posted what I posted, chenye niliandika niliandika. We are not clout chasers and we’ve never been known as clout chasers,” she said.

According to Marya Okoth’s sentiment, she broke up with YY Comedian and that netizens should respect their privacy because every couple has its challenges.
“Him and I we are not the type to clout chase anything and we are not a special couple. Every couple goes through its ups and down,” she added.
